Ingredients

For the chocolate ball

  • Dark chocolate bar finely chopped- 170 gram
  • Heavy cream- ⅔ cup (157 ml) 

For the dough

  1. All-purpose flour-2 cups
  2. Cornstarch-3 tsp
  3. Baking soda-1 tsp
  4. Sea salt- 1 tsp
  5. Sugar-1/2 cup
  6. Brown sugar-1/4 cup
  7. Eggs-2 (at room temperature)
  8. Butter-1 cup (at room temperature)
  9. Vanilla-2 tsp
  10. Unsweetened cocoa powder-3/4 cup

Preparation Method:

Chocolate Balls:

  • First, take the chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  • Then, take the cream in a non-stick pan and heat it over medium to low heat until steam rises and it becomes well heated. Once it’s properly heated, pour it over the chocolate and wait for three to five minutes.
  • After five minutes, start stirring the mixture of chocolate and cream well until it blends together smoothly.
  • Then let it set in the fridge for a while.
  • “After 10 minutes, take it out of the fridge and shape the chocolate into small round balls again, then place them back in the fridge.

Cookies Dough:

  • “In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter until it is soft and fluffy (about 2 minutes). Add the sugar and beat for a few more minutes. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Then gradually add the mix dry ingredients. Mix well. Once the batter turns into dough, refrigerate it for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • After taking it out of the fridge, take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls, making a hole in the center to insert small chocolate balls. Then, place them in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • On a baking sheet, space the cookie balls 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12 minutes until the edges are firm but the centers remain soft.
  • Let the cookies rest for 15 minutes before serving.”

Storing

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 6 days.
