Ingredients

  1. Flour: 1.5 cup
  2. Coco Powder: 1/2 cup
  3. Soft Butter: 1/2 cup
  4. Baking Soda: 1 tsp
  5. Baking powder: 1 tsp
  6. Egg: 2
  7. Icing Sugar: 2 cups
  8. Butter Milk: 1 cup
  9. Vanilla essence: 1 tsp
  10. Salt: 1 pinch

Preparation Method

Butter milk:

Mix one tablespoon of vinegar into a glass of milk and let it rest for ten minutes. After ten minutes, it will be ready.

  1. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the eggs and icing sugar together on slow speed for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, increase the speed to medium and continue beating until a creamy texture is achieved.
  3. Incorporate the Butter and Buttermilk: Add the buttermilk and softened butter to the mixture, and beat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Combine with the Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix the sifted dry ingredients into the batter until well combined.
  5. Add Vanilla Essence: Mix in the vanilla essence thoroughly.
  6. Prepare for Baking: Pour the batter into an 8-inch round cake pan.
  7. Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
